How to photograph your car.
Today's Photoshop programs can correct a lot of visual defects but the fact remains that a well composed photo is always best. Here are some tips to help you take a excellent photo of your car.

Don't worry about the background.
We can remove all unwanted background. Don't bother looking for a nice setting it will only be removed anyhow.

Things to avoid if possible
Do not take the photos while parked on the grass. The green reflects up onto the side panels and bumpers. Do not park under a tree, it will be reflected onto the hood and roof. Sun glare is our worst enemy. Take the pictures on a cloudy day or at dusk/dawn.

Use different angles
Don't be afraid to take some shots laying on the ground or standing on a ladder. Different angles can produce some very nice shots.

Use a good digital camera.
This is probably the most important tip. Set your camera to take the highest quality possible as well as largest picture possible. All digital cameras have a counter on them that tells you how many photos you have left on the flash card. The lower the amount the higher the quality. For instance with the camera set on Basic or Normal you may be able to capture 500 images, however when set on it's highest setting that count may go down to 75 images. The lower the count the better. Most digital cameras sold today will do a fine job, you don't need to spend big bucks for a digital SLR. Please don't try using your cell phone's camera.

Wash your car
Wash your car, clean it's windows, shine the tires. You get the idea.

Pick the right time of day to take your photo
Don't photograph you car when the sun is directly overhead, this will wash out the color and create unwanted glare. The best time is at sunup or sundown.

Lights on
Try turning your Parking lights on you would be surprised what a difference it can make.
